Arrive London (Dinner Days)
Check in to your hotel after 2pm and head out into the humming capital of Britain for a sneak peek at what’s to come. Later, meet up with your fellow travellers and Tour Manager over dinner. Tonight, get a feel for this thriving cultural melting pot on a walking tour around some of London’s landmark spots with your Tour Manager. Check out the cool and happening hub of Soho, the bright lights of the famous Piccadilly Circus and the street performers in Convent Garden.
London (Breakfast, Breakfast Days)
With 2 days in London, there’s plenty of time to get a real feel for this buzzing cosmopolitan capital, where iconic black taxis and red double-decker buses flash past historic buildings. Anything goes in London, so choose how you want to experience it. During your time here, jump on the coach for a look at London’s iconic buildings and UNESCO World Heritage sites in our included tour. Learn about Big Ben, the Royal Family’s place of residence (Buckingham Palace), the horror tales of the Tower of London, and the magnificent Westminster Abbey, where Princess Diana’s funeral service was held. With an included day pass for the London Underground take advantage of the tube system. Use it like a local and move around the city at your own pace. Some ideas for your free time include a ride on the London Eye for awesome views over the city, or a visit to the Tate Modern to check out some of the world’s most famous contemporary art. You can rub shoulders with the stars by walking through world-famous Madame Tussauds waxwork museum. Otherwise shop in the colourful Camden Markets or hit Oxford Street. If you’re keen for something a bit more off the beaten track, ask your Tour Manager for some tips. During your time in London, there’s also an optional excursion to see the UNESCO World Heritage site of Stonehenge. Choose to get up close to the famous ring of stones and learn more about the legends surrounding them. A trip to Bath means a look into a gorgeous city, complete with terraces, promenades and heritage buildings. Get the background on the city’s name and Roman past in an optional excursion to the stunning Roman Baths. On your last night in London experience a bit of London culture with a trip to a famous West End musical – it’s on us! Afterward, round up some friends and hit the town. London has it all; jazz bars, traditional pubs, pumping clubs and loads of live music - take your pick and dive into the action.
London to Paris (Breakfast, Dinner Days)
We hit the road and take a ferry past the White Cliffs of Dover. Travel past World War 1 battle fields in the Valley of the Somme to Paris. Tonight, the group kick starts Paris with the “Tour of Illuminations”, which shows off the French capital’s transformation into the “City of Lights”. Lamp-lit bridges and cool little cafés give us a real taste of Paris’ romance. Your Tour Manager will fill you in on the world’s most-recognised monuments, like the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe. After the tour, enjoy another angle on the city with our included cruise along the River Seine. The lights of Paris and its buildings are spectacular when seen from the water.
Paris (Breakfast, Breakfast Days)
This town is loaded with possibilities. Discover its many bistros, museums, tree-lined avenues and diverse quartiers (neighbourhoods). Get a feel for French flair by window shopping on the Left Bank, step into the Notre Dame cathedral or explore the endless galleries of the Louvre and get up close to the famous Mona Lisa. Try indulging in some delicious pastries and relax in one of Paris’ many green spaces. There’s a visit to Fragonard. This perfumery has an elegant interior and is a unique setting for a look into the history of perfume. It’s also a chance to pick up some French perfume at great prices. Time in Paris includes a trip out to France’s most well-known chateau: Versailles, once home to the Sun King, Louis 14th and hot spot of the French Revolution. Check out the impressive exterior of this extravagant palace, then enjoy a guided tour of the former royal family’s luxurious living quarters. Treat yourself to a real Parisian night out, starting with dinner and a show at an authentic cabaret, complete with can-can girls and champagne. But don’t stop there – hit the clubs for a night to remember.
Paris to Amsterdam (Breakfast, Breakfast Days)
We cut across 3 countries in 1 day and travel up to 300km/ph on a high speed train to Amsterdam. With an included tram pass for this free-wheeling city, you can easily explore more of Amsterdam. Experience Amsterdam’s coffee shops, museums and cool, quirky boutiques. Wander along shady canals and pass gabled houses or hop on two wheels like the laid-back locals and bike through the centre of town. Make the most of Amsterdam’s multi-ethnic cuisine. This cultural melting pot dishes up loads of affordable food. Other ideas for your time here include an evening canal cruise. It’s a great way to unwind and get another angle on Amsterdam from the water. Check out Amsterdam’s eye-opening Red Light District, where the creative and wacky come together on narrow cobbled streets, 24/7.

Terms and Conditions:
1.The referral program is valid for new trips booked as of May 1, 2009.
2.You can refer as many passengers as you’d like! You must provide valid names and e-mail addresses (e.g. you may not enter your own e-mail address or repeat the same address more than once). We will issue up to 10 $100 gift cards per Referrer per calendar year. Referees must be new passengers. Not combinable with Past Passenger discount.
3.Referee must between 18-35 years old at the time of travel.
4.Referee must have been referred online and must mention "Refer a Friend" and Referrer's name when booking their trip.
5.Upon booking their trip, the Referee will receive in their travel documentation $100 in Optional Excursion vouchers. The original Optional Excursion vouchers can be redeemed while on their trip and cannot be exchanged for cash reimbursement.
6.The Referred passenger(s) are responsible for reviewing their travel documentation and making sure they received the Optional Excursion Vouchers prior to their departure from the United States. Contiki will not issue a cash refund to passenger(s) for any Optional Excursion because the Referred passenger(s) paid the tour manager directly, forgot to pack or bring the vouchers on the tour, did not use the entire value of the vouchers, looses the vouchers, or advises us after their travel that they did not receive the vouchers.
7.If booking is made within 14 days of the departure, we cannot guarantee receipt of physical vouchers unless traveler expedites their documents at an additional cost. Scanned copies are not available
8.Contiki is not responsible if a Referrer fails to properly identify a Referee. Contiki will not retroactively record a friend who was not identified at the time of sign-up.
9.Contiki will not allow a Referee to be claimed by more than one Referrer. Once a Referee’s e-mail address has been given, it may not be changed.
10.Cash will be given out in the form of a gift card from a major credit card company with a value of $100. Gift card will be issued to Referrer only after Referee completes travel on their trip of 8 days or longer. If a Referee cancels for any reason, the referral reward is forfeited.
